I moved some of the flowering annuals down a couple days ago...lantana, etc. My big dragon wing begonias are going to the basement as soon as I get some cuttings taken.Today, I took some brug cuttings to share...almost done, then I will make a list of the ones available. Charleen, love your moonflower vine. I grew them a couple years, and loved watching them open.Like Debra, I have all my EE's potted up this year...well all but the solid green.Got tired of losing them to rot, over the winter.Debra, sent me a blood banana pup, and it isn't putting out any new leaves yet either. It probably takes them a while to get over the shock of being wacked away from their momma. As long as they have decent roots, I think they will bounce back. Tiff, here's a pic of a couple of the clusters of flowerbuds on the Jade.Poor thing, I really neglected it this year, as I did lots of plants while I was concentrating on the brugs. When I got ready to move it in, it had several, bug eaten leaves. I removed most(they'll grow back), sprayed and repotted, at the last minute. But, it seems that leaving it out to the last minute may be why she is gonna bloom.I was reading about how to get one to bloom (wanted to know what was different this year), and it said to leave them out till right before frost, as they like cool nights and lots of light.Guess when I brought it into the brightly lit plant room, that it was happy. It also said that it takes a long time for the flower buds to open up. Dee This message was edited Oct 22, 2010 8:50 PM |
