Buttoneer,

Yeah! I think as "junked up" as the windows look--It does lend a cozy aspect to this place....

I have not yet taken any plants in. We had 84* two days ago. Now it is hanging in the 60's.
VERY windy today. Blowing all kinds of things over....I went out to right up my big pot of Hibiscus--
and while i was out there, this huge gust of wind came and blew down 4 pots if X-Mas cactus
from a heavy, tiered metal stand I have. They all came crashing down!!!
There were huge sections that broke off from my biggest pot---already full of buds....:o(
Oh well! Nothing I can do--except--gather the pieces all up and start new pots.

This is my worst dilemma--always starting new plants from bits and pieces.....Don' we all???
I will "shoot myself" in the big toe if I start another Spider Plant....
Did you count how many I had on those little shelves in front of that window?

I have been doing a lot of clean-up work. Pulling out this and that....cutting back things,
and getting ready for the BIG haul (inside..).

October blooms---Oh yeah!!!

All three of my Brugs are popping about now. .....They always bloom the best in October...
I think they like the cooler weather....

So--here is my new "Maya" (or whatever it is called) I got from Cylburn Arboretum
where I donated my monster Maya last fall.
I went to their market Day in the Spring and talked them out of one free rooted cutting (they had done many and
were selling them for, like $12!) for my generosity. It was well growing--about 12" tall in an 8" pot.

Here it is in it's October glory...an amazing specimen--no matter how big it is...
Hard to get a good shot when the sun is shining on it....makes it all blotchy!
The bricks on the pot are to keep it from blowing over.
The other one behind it is the big, pink NOID...Great bloomer!
Will be cutting the 2 big ones back before I can bring them inside.

Let me know if you want any stem cuttings......The other one I have is a Dr. Seuss....my fave!
