I definitely just missed a new bird to my yard. I feel just sick about it. Moments before I said to myself 'why are you sitting in front of this window without your camera?' Did I go and get my camera -- nooo. Darn it. It was in perfect photo position too. It took a bath and flew up into the foliage where I just couldn't get the shot.

Here's why you're reading my mind. I went through all the pics in my bird book and it looked the most like a white-crowned sparrow. It was a big bird though and it seemed like the black stripes were thicker and went further down the head.

It took a long bath and flew way off. If it comes back, it won't be for a while. Dang it!
