As I stated on the above post: when the hummers hover over it their little shadows are enough to either slow down, or even stop the flow. It's a kick to watch their reaction to that. They will actually try to take a shower in it, but it just never works out for them. It's amazing that a creature so small can generate such interest, and attachment. My main goal now, is for the back deck to become as hummingbird friendly as possible.
