They seem to be more shrub-like, even though they make a lot of viney runners. The pink one (like mine) is the one with the leathery, stiff leaves. I personally like this plant better. I bought mine this Spring at a Nursery. it was in an 8" pot and only about 2' tall. They come on these small trellises, with all the stems wound up and secured all over them. I try to, gently, unwind the stems so they can "march on" up my trellis...I believe this helps a lot. DOC--Do you mean my Mandevilla looks like it needs some acid food? I am sure it could use something--as I have had a mandevilla growing in this same pot for 3 years now. I will continue to do so--but will work in something 'good" next year before I plant one.
