Thanks everyone, I took you all along 'in spirit'! ☺

Well, thinking DW was going to choose something closer for our Friday adventure she choose Orient Point, LI as yesterday's destination. Another part of LI which we had never been to. I had driven all day the day before and it was her turn this time so I was able to take some pics along the way.

To get to Orient Point we had to go through Southhold and Long Island's wine country. The houses along the start of Southold on Main St. were colonial types, some very old and many unfortunately in disrepair and/or abandoned. They weren't ugly though, they were attractive even in their weathered conditions. There were many houses with architecture from a long, long time ago, - they added to the 'ambiance'. Sprinkled here and there along the way were long driveways leading to private estates and bed & breakfast establishments. The feeling was very laid back, casual and not 'touristy' like so many other artificially constructed tourist spots.

* (Though I don't care for collages I thought it would be best to use them this time to save space and not 'hog' this thread, lol)
