It was used to make paper long ago. there are a few different leaf structures. a kool thing is it can be rooted by cutting off a leaf, trim the pettals back to about 1 - 2". set upside down on water so the entire leaf is under water and the stem sticks up. I would love to have one if you get any to root. Merry: I don't think they are ready to sell. let me winter them over and we can revisit it in the spring. They are not rooted enough for me to feel comfortable selling them. Also it will take 3 years to bloom if my thinking is correct. They are tissue culture I think. well its that day again. laundry day. yuck Kims gone batty. the siding guys are on week 3 and there seem to be too many issues coming up for the kind of job we were expecting. She is getting buyers remorse, but I think she will calm down once its done. in the 2 bedrooms we ended up with a double slider instead of regulat windows like we ordered. it would have been nice to get single sliders or the ones we ordered. The garage door is in and its nice to be able to open it finally. we got the ketless entry so we can open it from outside with a code. we had them put in 2 beveled glass windows in the door. they look kind of funny because there should have been more in the door. I am hopefull that I will get to go outside and get a few things done today. its kinda overcast and feels like rain is coming any time. The pic is of what our roots hope to look like. nice white color and fuzzy with lots of root hairs. have a great day Dave |
