Thanks for the tip on the Squirrel tail, they are planted in the shade right now but I will transplant them in a big pot, so that I can save them this winter. They came from vossner and I sure would hate to lose them. I am having pretty good luck with the yellow shrimp plants. They get about 3-4 hrs. of afternoon sun and are blooming very well, even after accidently spraying them with weed killer earlier this spring.

My perennial garden started out as a butterfly garden. I am always finding new plants to attract them, my favorite time with my GD's is sitting on the blue bench Indentifying flutterbys.
I would love to see the foliage on your Tecoma stans.
