I almost took a nose-dive standing on the edge of the pond to take another picture of the unknown yellow flowered plant. (Note to self.....save the camera!!) It sends out long stems that open up with leaves and the yellow flowers. The leaves are 8-12" across. I think the metal tag was also devoured by the Mimulus guttatus and I sure don't remember this blooming last year.
