I am for the most part a very frugal person. This is probably due to being divorced when my daughters were in their early teens and my pay was not so great for most of my teaching career. I do not use a credit card … I have a debit card. When I started teaching at the age of 34 teachers were greatly underpaid. My younger brother who only had an aa degree would say to me “I would not even turn over in bed for what you make.”

I am presently receiving a nice pension plus full social security …. P;us I have a decent nestegg which I do not need to touch. My house is paid for. I have full Blue Cross/Blue Shield medical coverage and a prescription plan paid for by the state of New Jersey. My full dental plan is $21/month (I have to pay for the dental).
