Good .... uhhhh afternoon??? yea thats it.
when did I use the f word... I am sorry if I let it slip. I thought the closest to the f word I got was in reference to being dry as a popcorn....
Todat 103 with heat index 110 and 50% humidity. I went outside for 2 hours and am soaked from the sweat. I took black bamboo cuttings and got a fla ready to stick this afternoon. Not sure if its going to be asters or penstomon.
Most of my Jm seeds are ones I collect or I buy from

http://www.angelgroveseeds.com

and other places it just depends on what I am doing for seed growth. I am sticking to the smaller stuff where its no bigger than a 10" or 3 gallon pot and I like to keep the plants small 24" and under is the goal. I really fell in love with scullcap. Mine is like 6" tall and covered in fuscia colored flowers I did a flat of cuttings that did quite well almost 100%
I think I get better results with the ones I collect or have friends that do it for me. I think some of the people on ebay sell green JM seeds as if the were ripe. I never had any luck with ebay's jm seeds. now other seeds are a different story.
Well no cuttings to stick oday. the day got away from me. I like to do my cuttings in the am as the heat does play a factor on how well they hold up. Yesterday I got may night and caradona salvia stuck but they are in the mint family so I am willing to bet I could stick a week old cutting and get it to root... ok maybe not a week old one.
I wanted to pass along a little tidbit. I ordered ground cloth and shade cloth from Growersupply.com on the 10th of July. I am still waiting for the delivery. I called last week and they gave me a story of "they sent an email ou stating they were out of 50% shade cloth and asked if I minded waiting for it to come in?" I would have thought they would send the case of flats and ground cloth while waiting for te shade cloth. I am not real happy at the moment. The manager stated he would substitute 70% for the 50% and get the cloth cut the next day and get it out to me asap. we are on day 9 of the "asap" shipping. If I don't have it in hand by monday I will be asking for a refund and take my business else where. A.M. Leonard stocks the same stuff and is fairly reasonable with over 100 years in business. I just though everyone would like to know this because you all know how much I liked growersupply. I think it was the paypal billing that helped keep me a customer. I guess I got lazy and did not like to wait for the 3 days to transfer money from paypal to my bank. Stepping down off my soapbox
Stay cool everyone and hae a great day Oh yea the pic is of scullcap
