Dave ~ That is weird as I was going to suggest that "free plants" website to you and you already did that. Also, I have a Gilbert Wild catalog I will send to you, unless you already get it. It had a lot of daylilies and right now very low prices. (You could check online, as they are having an "end summer" clearance.) Have you started any lobelia seeds??

Lee ~ I am sorry for your loss. There are no words to say to ease your pain...still your attitude about the whole process is great. It will happen to all of us sooner or later. We never seem to be ready for it anyway, even if we know it will be sooner, especially one so close as our mother and the love she gave us our whole life.

JB ~ You, too! "Hot enough for you?" Don't you love it when they say that? GRRR! Oh, that's right...##@@%$&!! Now you can understand that, right? It is getting a little bit cooler, but still in the high 80's most days. The other day, we had thunderstorms in the mountains...the Sierras...and then we got the humidity, and then it got dark with clouds, but no rain. It smelled as though it rained...maybe it did and it evaporated before it reached the ground...(Verga??) Virga? (sp?)

Mary ~ Yes, you have been a busy gardener....

Well, I must go now...I have been updating the laptop and it is threatening to restart, so I had better send this before I lose it!
