As a result, the garden looks pretty sad now :-( A couple of things are blooming, including a South African Foxglove from Gita (thanks, Gita). The Joe Pye Weed has loads of butterflies on it. Catbird, very proud of your baby lipstick plant. I have rooted cuttings many times over the years, but never had flowers so soon. Great job! When you eventually move the plant to a larger pot, make sure the next pot is no more than a couple of inches bigger than this one. This plant likes root bound. If the pot is too big, the plant won't bloom until it is big enough to fill up the pot. Here is a pic of the mother plant. I gave it a severe haircut a month ago, but it will grow back. Let me know if anybody wants cuttings. |
