Most of the ones that stay around on land are the toads, which this one is, and the tree frogs take off up into the vegetation. Apparently leopard frogs stay near the water source for awhile after they emerge as well, but most of my little ones look like toads, at least once they get big enough to tell! I've found toads less than a centimeter in size on the other side of my house from my pond, so they sure travel fast.
