WormsLovSharon wrote: Evelyn, you are a walking disaster. Throw your back out using a salad spinner! Now your toe. Sounds like me earlier in the spring. Went to an Ear, Nose & Throat specialist for my asthma. Yes, it is being caused by sinus drainage and the red eyeliner I have been wearing is allergies. So I now have a new nose spray and new eye drops. I actually have done little gardening this last week. Just to hot and I decided I did not need any more flowers. My holding garden is full and I have a very large order coming in of irises from Snow Peak. Also have the vegetables going strong in the greenhouse. The hardy hibiscus do not need the greenhouse. They are thriving in the holding garden. I just need to move some so I can get some seeds planted. I am going to try direct sow in to the holding garden. I am digging black bamboo and cannas. Hope everyone is ready for them. So finally I am acting like I am retired. I am enjoying it. My tomatoes are sweet and ripe. And they are delicious. Still have about 10 Vidalia onions left and three ripe avocados so I am having a large summer sandwich for breakfast. I eat breakfast about noon. Wish I had a home grown cucumber. Phoenix is having great success with the Armenian Cucumber. Went outside at 8am and it was like a sauna. We having ceiling fans on the patio, so that makes it bearable. Stayed and watched the birds until 9:30 then gave up and came inside. I have lot to do inside so no big deal. Have a great day. I cannot imagine I have not been called on the carpet with my ranting. I am with you JB, and I am only 68 in less than a month. My theme is "YOU DO NOT WANT TO MESS WITH ME". And I am sure that does not surprise one of you. Photo is giant Magnolia next door. Over 15' tall and at least 6' wide. Back of leaves are not brown. Flowers are enormous and I have seed pods. I will let you know when they open and drop their seeds. I have the pods in with some rice. Suppose to dry the pods and prevent mold. I also have irises seeds. A bumble bee pollinated one of my irises. |
