I read an interesting bit on trees transpiring water.. that you could lean a ladder aganst a big maple tree.. and you could carry buckets of water up the ladder.. and throw the water into the air at the top.. and the tree would give off more water in the day day than you could carry up in buckets and dump..
the small co-op here actually uses more water in the winter than the summer.. I don't know who abuses the water in the winter for them...
