DWMike ~ Thanks for the info...yes, I had no need to pick it (the snake) up or anything like that... I treat them with respect, and hopefully I will be treated the same way. I did not actually get that close, but used the camera for the closeup. I will continue to seek its identity. I am sure it was not a rattler as there was no rattle, though I still thought it might be one because of the pattern on its hide. Well I guess I was really not so sure, was I? And I wonder why I have difficulty making decisions at times...LOL!☺
