You have some wonderful birds, Rian. The Sunbirds are the equivalent of the Hummingbirds with their iridescence, aren't they? When you say that the Burchell's Coucal has the sound of Africa, I was thinking that it would probably have to be the beautiful sound of the Australian Magpie that portrays the sound of Australia for me.

I spent a bit of time down at Cottesloe this morning and managed to get a few shots of the White-cheeked Honeyeaters.
