I tried everything and this gardenia wasn't coming back and when I went to repot it the trunk just slid off, that was it, time to realize it's a gonner. I stuck it on a pile of trimmings for the burn pile, it must be 3 or 4 weeks when I went to take up the pile and this is what I find.
