I did not have the next step with overhead lights and just left on desk in front of window. 4 weeks ago I wanted to plant directly into my bales and thought I would try the 'between wet paper towels' method for 3 kinds of green bean and butternut squash. I labeled each papertowel and put about 6 of each seeds in, then inverted a ceramic plate over them and left them on the counter - for about 4 days. Needless to say, they were rooting and even some stems with leaves were starting to break through. Here are 2 of the types of pole beans just after 3 weeks. |
