Okay, just kidding - they're not ours. This morning, I had to run to the convenience store, and on my way, I stopped to let out my chickens. There in front of me were two GORGEOUS white horses. Inexperienced moron that I am, I walked slowly up to one, held my hand out (he sniffed me, but wouldn't let me pet him) and then I got the bigger one to let me pet him. Well - I guess I shouldn't have done that, because our friend who came over said I could have gotten the crap kicked out of me since they were both stallions. She said the smaller one is a yearling, and the other likely 2 years old. One has shoes on its back hooves. They're not branded or tagged. We went over to the one neighbor we knew had horses (the other neighbor only has geldings) and they didn't know whose they were. So, we called the sheriff to report them, and called a few prominent neighbors who might at least know whose they are. We had to leave messages.

So, our friend got them into our paddock so they wouldn't get hit by a car (or God forbid tear up my garden) and they're "talking" with our neighbor's geldings (at least the older one is). He's so pretty, he's almost pure white with a few dalmation spots and blue, blue eyes. The other is mostly white as well, with a buff colored tail. I don't want to keep them (I have young kids and no money to care for horses right now (plus we're boarding 10 head of cattle who are in a different paddock right now). I guess there's a waiting period if no one reports them and then we can keep or sell them. We'll sell them, because a stallion is NOT in the cards with kiddos.

So, fun morning! Now I've got two water troughs to fill in addition to my chicken's waterer. Someone should be paying me for all this time spent on animals that aren't even mine!!!
