I do want to say that I have no plans to go anywhere, anytime soon. I started my membership with DG 2 years ago and have been very happy with the site. I know that it's possible to get a lot of gardening info on the web that is given here at DG, but it's well worth the $20 a year to have it at my fingertips then to spend an astronomical amount of time doing research.

Also, I work for a public company that has acquired various other companies over the years. It's always the same. You buy out the company and "usually" bring on the other company's Head Honcho as some part of the newly merged version. There are all kinds of things involved as part of the process (that I don't necessarily understand)... Such as money (of course, that's always a biggie) and legalities. If you don't stick to the rules of the process, there will be consequences.

But the biggest thing that happens in this type of thing is that people take sides. It's horrible, but it is human nature. I don't know if a lot of you are literal friends or family of Dave and his wife, but I'm sure a lot of us are not. Therefore, the best thing to do is let them work it out and hope that nothing actually related to the site will change. I do not plan to leave this site. I love it. And even though Dave or whoever has put a lot of time and effort into the mechanics of the site, I find that I get the best info from the peers. I ask a question and get an answer. It's like Facebook for gardening :)

I'm sorry to see that a lot of claws have come out. But, I guess that's what politics is like in any situation.
