It's been a month and a half since I've had houseplants (I bought 18 within 1 month...) and all of them are doing pretty good thanks to all the advices I've read on the Internet. But I'm very curious about these 2 plants I have, because they don't seem to open and deploy completely, it's like they are stuck in time.

My Philodendron Erubescens (love this plant so much, she likes water a lot) has been trying to open its leaf for the last 3 weeks without success:

And my Spathiphyllum already has a new flower, but it's been looking the same for the last 2-3 weeks:

Is this normal? If not, what should I do?

Does this have to do anything with that I stopped misthing their leaves?, because recently I read that is not very good to mist them all the time with water, because the plant inhibits itself. I used to mist all my plants everyday, early in the morning and at night.

I live in South America and we are in autumn here, but the temperature in my house fluctuates between 61°F (16°C) and 70°F (20°C). I don't use heaters or AC. It's desertic here, but template during the day and humid during the night because of the ocean.

Thanks everyone!

Carolina.
