Toofew, just doesn't make sense does it? If the Pineapple Lily survives, Dutch Iris definitely should be fine. Mine always survive that first winter but decline after that. I wonder if they're kinda like Tulips, preferring deep planting and dry dormancy?

Here are Penstemon smallii from last years swap. These are in a sunnier position than those in the previous pic, and have started blooming first.
