Moving along further toward home, I passed Starvation Reservoir. One story explaining the names says it was because fur-trappers were on the edge of starvation and resorted to stealing food from the local Indian tribes. Or maybe it was the other way around. Or maybe even because ranchers tried to graze cattle there and they (the cattle) all died.
