Evening! Thanks to everyone who gave me such lovely comments on my photos. I worked today, then when I got home I staked up some TBI and helped some clems climb a little better. Chores in the garden never end. Whenever I have a free moment I do what I can. It was cold this evening!

Cousin Nut, yes, the iris look fantabulous with their new foliage. I have that donkey tail spurge, too, and it seeds in here and there. I really like it, though it gets rather rangy looking. Neato shot of the elderberry! Pretty hyacinths. Things are late out your way and about 2 weeks early here. All messed up! Don't give up on your hellebore! They look crappy at the end of the winter, but then they send up new foliage. I always cut the old foliage off before it blooms. Looks so much nicer that way. Oh, I understand about leaving the old foliage on the DL's. I often leave the fall leaf litter on the beds all winter, then rake off in March or so, whenever signs of spring appear. Have fun on your trip to the northwest. Sounds fun!

That is one huge rose, Jen! I have no roses blooming yet, but I see signs of buds.

Ooooohhhh!!!!!! Wish there was an iris nursery like that around here, JoAnne. Love that purple on in the right hand bottom corner.

Allison, your creeping phlox are so pretty! I don't seem to have good luck with it. That soapwort is really nice, too. I've never grown it. Are those verbascums, the phoenecium hybrids? I grew them from seed last year, too, but never got them planted in the garden. They overwintered in the pot, so now I have to find a home for them. I'm so happy I didn't lose them. Yucky bugs!!!! I always thought aphids were green. Fortunately they're easy to kill.

I like the color on Red Baron better than Bloodgood. Love the foliage on that Gold Star kousa. I need to get myself some variegated dogwoods. Bill, your lawn looks too perfect. Do you have Trugreen do it for you? LOL!

Very pretty clem, Grammy!

Karen

Here are more shots form yesterday. Didn't get any today. A long shot of my Septic Tank Rock Garden.
