Gitagal wrote: No frost here--but sure is chilly! I have all my annuals either in beds or sitting around in flats under my patio. Not much else i can do! This cold snap sure was not expected.... I did bring my 2 flats of Coleus cuttings and my Non-Stop begonias back inside. Hid my 2 leafed-out brug cuttings under a table. Clivias are all outside----My planted in beds/pots Brugs are all outside. Tomatoes have been in the bed for 3 weeks....I did cover all these the night we had 38* and 41* a week or so ago. One effect all this cold is having is that nothing is growing as it should. Gotta get outside later today and see what else I can get planted. Also--have to, seriously, start making a "haves" list for the Swap. Seems not too many people have posted anything in that. Might be a last minute frenzy..... I hate putting up with all the bulb foliage! it takes up so much room that I cannot really plant things where i would want to....I tied some of them up with stretch-ties in big bunches......Have wire fencing around other large clumps to keep the leaves somewhat contained.....This goes on EVERY year!!! Chris--I went looking for a link I had bookmarked for home made Dog Treats.... Can't seem to find it! I know I had it as I sent it to my daughter a few years ago.... I bet you could Google it! I am freezing in this house!!!! My hands are ice-cold...... NOT gonna turn the heat back on! Here's a pic of Clivia divisions #2 and #3 blooming... Have to get ready soon to go play Volleyball.....Gita |
