Here is a photo of the other side of the yard... the lower end... here, DH dug sort of a swale so the water can run... it used to all dump into the neighbors driveway -- But DH put in those 4x4 timbers and cut in a swale ... this year, i moved a few hostas by that tree and we dug 'on this side' of it to route the water away from his drive. Usually after a heavy rain, most of our sand was in their drive. He was quite appreciative of DH's work.
