It fits nicely in the palm of my hand, has a keyboard and a preview display window to see what I've typed before I print & cut the label. Mine came from Sam's Club at least 7 years ago and I paid $20 for it, only bought it at the time because I needed to print file folder labels and never had a clue it would be such a lifesaver in the gardens. It runs on 3 AAA batteries that I've only had to replace once. The tape cartridges are 26' long and they're about $10 each but that's a lot of labels when you consider each one is only 5-7" long. Why don't you check eBay or Amazon and see what you can come up with? There are other thermal-printer manufacturers out there but I've only used P-Touch. Gosh, happ, your winds sound down right wicked. Don't get blown away! I'm probably going to be in trouble tomorrow when I visit my favorite nursery around here. He has the best stuff nobody else has. I planted 12 perennials today, also Cosmos and Zinnias I sowed from seed that were nearly root bound in their pots, and re-potted more houseplants and tropicals. Also sorted the Canna rhizomes by height. If the good Lord's willing and the crick don't rise, those puppies will be in the ground Saturday. Planting Cannas around here is a sure sign Spring has sprung. |
