A very handsome male it was. I was not quick enough to get the camera after I saw him thru the window but soon I am sure. I heard one this morning while walking the dog, so I knew they were here!

Okay, now the PIleated Woodpecker has been coming everyday this week. Earlier today he came by and was just carrying on as if to say 'hey...I'm out here'! I was busy out front planting some annual so I had to miss that photo op. But I was lucky enough to get this shot on Tuesday.
