Beginner Gardening: Can someone please tell me what this plant is?, 1 by hedy1975

The picture is not that great. It stands about 15". Looks like a really small tree. It is not doing very well. The leaves are spotting brown, dropping off and it just isn't growing well. I've tried different light combos but just can't seem to get it right.
