As far as color, Southern gardens are now equipped with lots of bright red that are provided by, at first Camellias, now there are Rhodendrons and Azaleas. Bringing/adding flowering plant that provide nectars is fun addition to our garden. I'm learning to incorporate nectar feeders with/along other brightly flowers to attract hummingbirds.
