Amargia wrote: It sounds to me like you have the ideal fishin’ buddy, Scraps. I seriously considered worm farming once, but we have such a fire ant problem in this region I’m afraid I would end up with an ant farm instead. (The ants always try to move in to freshly loosen soil and raised beds.) It was decided the earth-as-seen-from-outer-space logo Amargia has been using for a while is just too serious and somber to accurately represent us. We’ve been looking for a fun new logo/icon for Amargia. I voted for an ant. Got voted down though. With all the digging we do and all the near-sighted, light sensitive folks around here, I thought a mole would be appropriate. Got voted down on that one too. I’m afraid we are going to end up with a donkey logo. People associate Don Quixote with Amargia because he greets everyone who comes up the road with that horrible sound donkeys make. But, he actually belongs to our neighbor and we don’t know much about his kind. (We are still debating whether he is properly called a donkey, a mule or a burro.). Well, I’ve always thought Jim is as stubborn as one. What bothers me is Jim gave our donkey logo lipstick and long eyelashes. Hm-m-m, some passive-aggressive venting, perhaps? I’ve decided not to take it personally. If his insinuation were aimed directly at me, I’m sure he would have given it one of my signature straw hats. LOL. So glad you have improved enough to be at home, Vickie. We got Sheri’s plants in the mail when Jim said, but delayed on yours. They should be there by Wednesday. Hopefully, you will have your DD to help you put them where you want. I don’t like mailing out plants before a weekend because they spend longer in transit. I want to get out your way as soon as I can afford it. My sister near Dallas is not doing so well and I have another sister near Houston I haven’t seen for years. . My urge to go somewhere else for a while couldn’t POSSIBLY have anything to do with the fact that the hyperactive little boys are here. I had them solo for about six hours yesterday. Man, am I ever feeling my age today. LOL. Kay* |
