Since you started the thread with 3 species of woodpeckers, I'll add the Pileated Woodpecker. I hear them all day long but only see them on occasion. The female was pecking on my neighbor's patio doors. I tried to sneak closer since there was a fence and incline between us. She saw me before I could get a shot off. Nonetheless, I was able to get a few shots of them on nearby trees. Here is the male.
