We've been traveling the past few days, so haven't been on the board much. Currently in Uvalde County Texas. Had a good afternoon of birding yesterday. Lifers included Caracara, Rufous-crowned Sparrow, and Vermillion Flycatcher. Other highlights, Golden-fronted and Ladderback WP's, lots of BC hummers and Lesser Goldfinches in breeding color. Hoped to spot some Golden-cheeked Warblers and Black-capped Vireos, but no luck. Maybe today.

A pic of a Black Vulture dining on a road-killed 'coon south of Concan, TX. There were actually two of the coons and Turkey Vultures, Black Vultures and a Caracara were all feeding on them, but the Caracara was spooky, no pic.
