Will get more done tomorrow. Part of the back gardens are still covered in snow, but there's lots that aren't. I could do burning tomorrow, too. Patti, I especially love your collage of the hot orange DL's. The only one of them that I have is Carpenter Shavings. They're all very nice ones. I was thinking with so many deer on Nantucket, maybe they should think of sterilizing them. I know other areas have done it. I'm not sure how it's done, exactly. They somehow give them females some form of birth control, like in feed they put out or something. Allison, good idea on pinching the balloons. Works well with mums and asters, too. Weedy, that is a gorgeous Catherine Woodbery seedling. Pat, the double names don't bother me. They do it that way cause a hybridizing will come out with a line plants that they want to keep altogether, then they want to have an individual name for each one as well. Like the echinacea series called Big Sky, of which they have Big Sky 'Sunset', Big Sky 'Sunrise', etc. I love all the lilies and sea hollies posted. I do not have any sea hollies. Will have to remedy that situation. Karen Stargazer lilies |
