I have not really had time to check out the "other site" but I am going to once things calm down here. LOL, it took me so long to learn how to navigate DG and I am still learning, hope the other does not take as long.

Tropicalbreeze..You are sooo right, these evacuations always make me appreciate my own home more. Since October we have had ashy, hazy skies, I am now appreciating the beautiful blue skies we are having since the collapse. Now if it would just rain so I could appreciate the rain more (I promise not to make comments like "is this rain ever going to quite")

I like the fact that the bad always seems to bring out the good. I know, when ever this volcano acts up, the good in people seems to come out . People open their homes to those evacuated, When the ash is really bad, everyone stops to give people rides so they do not have to walk in the ash, especially the children. Everyone works together to get things cleaned up. It is sad, in a way that the only time you see community spirit these days is during or after natural disasters.
