Where 220 and 74 cross. I love this area....not too cold, not too hot ( I wish). We are missed for the most part by the snow and the hurricanes. We got about a inch of snow last week is all. Like you said....it's the same with me. Outside yard plants are taking up the majority of floor space. Hibiscus, Brugmansia, Plumeria, Ficus, Bird of Paradise, Sansevieria, lots of Clivia and Adenium also. I never have been able to concentrate on just one thing. LOL I love them all. DH built me a bench for one side, need the same set up for the other side as soon as he gets time. I did have a problem with aphids and spider mites when everything first came in....around Dec. 1. I was cutting it close with the weather, but everything made it alright. Sprayed and everything is looking good now. There are 2 oscillating fans set up to circulate the air....works pretty good. I'm curious about the automatic sprinkler system......how does that work? Overhead misters? I'm planning on leaving in August for 2 weeks and I'm already worried. I really have no-one that knows plants I can rely on and was thinking of a drip system with a timer. Got lots of time to figure it out. Here's a picture of my home-made/make-shift greenhouse. Not so pretty, but I love it. We built it lean-to style attached to a storage building. I'll try to get inside and take a picture tomorrow. If the sun shines that is. ;) |
