My greenhouse is the same size as the one you are building and I can assure you it won't be too big. I like to leave the middle of mine open in order to move around easily and see all of my plants. This leaves only one column (5 rows) of plants on each wall and room for some hanging baskets. Large plants that I have in the yard during the summer and have to over-winter in the greenhouse take up a lot of the available floor space. I use two ceiling fans and a floor fan to give me air current and I have a automatic sprinkler system for watering. I presently have about 750 plants in my greenhouse which means it is very full looking. Remember to allow space around your plants to avoid spreading insects as rapidly as too close encourages. I originally had a middle column of plants but did away with it since I found I couldn't really enjoy my plants with so much clutter. I am trying to get rid of everything that is not either an orchid or an orchid cactus. Most of my epies are small four inch pots presently. My full size one's already take all available hanging basket space. As the others grow, I'm not sure what I can do. I hope this info is helpful. bob |
