I would assume that the local economy is glad to see that they are still around in strong numbers. I haven't been back to Conowingo Dam, here in Maryland, since two weeks before Christmas. I made about 11 trips between October and December and was sort of losing a little enthusiasm. My last trip I took about 1,200 photos. But, I'll be back there in the Fall. As you can see in this image, some of our local eagles are sitting on eggs, already. Watching it snow outside with low temperature in the teens, I could only admire their perseverance and paternalistic instincts during these tough hours. I watched and wondered as they sat next to each other for nearly an hour. This picture from the Blackwater webcam truly speaks volumes. Stay warm ....... |
