We have lots of Red-bellied Woodpeckers around the neighborhood all year around and I've seen immature Red-bellied in the past, but this little guy seems much smaller and chubbier (maybe just younger than I've seen before?) so I'm not sure. We also have Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers in our area. I'm still leaning towards the Red-bellied, but need input for someone more knowledgeable.
