The skirt is actually fully lined and I thought to use the lining for pratice but I would have had to rip it all out as skirt is made with what they call 'flat lining" in other words each skirt piece is sewn with the lining. ( clear as mud eh?)
It is a 5 gore skirt and my only concerns are length because the hem has a facing so the skirt must be the correct length before the facing is put on. Also the cut of the back of the side pieces is almost on the bias and sewn to a piece which is not so has to be done very carefully!
Here is the pattern - Im just making the skirt in walking length but then will be making the whole outfit in an evening fabric . SHould be fun - the bodice is actually fully boned!
