Yesterday I used the 50D, instead of the 1D MkIII, with the lens and 1.4x and whoa...that's another 200mm FOV (1120mm) which put me really close to the birds. I can't wait to get the field...I've been trying to capture the image of this one elusive Belted Kingfisher in a nearby wetland.

Dave I usually install the BB just in case I need the light boost, however, when the light is right I turn the flash off. Dave I know you know you are going to love the 600; hope, better yet, sure you got your support system together. Have you used it yet?

Burd so you are a Mustang man too. I have a built '95 Cobra (last 5.0 pushroad); that is my other hobby.
