Here I am, here I am!! You be partying without me? I've missed you all.

My mother has required extra attention over the past few months, as has my yard, with the weather changing, and . . . oh, the list goes on. I'll spare you the details. You oughta see the layers of leaves I've spread out over the bare dirt. I even had the City crew do a couple of bows, with some stunning red leaves from down the street, dumping them on my corner lot. What a hoot!! They thought I was some kind of goofball, for sure.

But, probably the biggest time thief, outside of the above, has been trying to pull together the pieces of my mother's work on our family genealogy into a coherent presentation for her Christmas present this year. Gotta have SOMEthing to talk to her about as she keeps sinking into her dementia. Do you have any idea how much it takes to learn the software on your own machine, as well as the various genealogy sites you need in order to do your search. And then there are the XXXXth cousins XXtimes removed you meet online and who help you with some pieces you would never have found without them.

What a HUGE project this has turned out to be!! Pidgie found me on the photography site asking about watermarking photos to put up on a tree at Ancestry.com without having some uncommunicative too-distant relative stealing 'em without asking. She gently slapped me around and sent me running over to join you .

Partying? Aha, youse guys are doin' a gr8 job on my behalf. And I am grateful for the kind thoughts obviously having gone into it.

Here's one of the photos I'm working with. It's a sketch one of my grandfather's young students at the boy's school he started in Florida in the early 1900's did of him. It looks JUST LIKE him. It's an amazing piece of pencil sketch work. It's an awesome piece. And I trust you with it.

Thx, Pidgie!!! What a sweetie you are. What a bunch of sweeties you all are! I'll try to be more communicative. Hugs to all!
