They appear to be millipedes, yellow to ochre in color, an inch or so long, very narrow bodies. All over the ceiling. Got all of them as far as I could tell. This morning we noticed nothing, noon today about two dozen all over the ceiling. Cleaned them out manually and two hours later I have the same amount, cleaned out, more in a hour so. I can't tell where they are coming from. The windows are sealed well. We have some water damage in the kitchen scheduled for repair next week (sheetrock exposed). The area above the kitchen is an attic and I did not notice anything up there last week. We replaced our roof on 12/7 and 12/8 including some plywood. I know this is an outdoor forum but I am desperate to find out what these are and how to contain they before they escape the kitchen and run amok in the rest of the house. The exterminators are closed until Monday morning., Help more photos at http://www.picasaweb.google.com/oddpotter Steve Wilmington North Carolina USA |
