angel_tree_baby wrote: Wondering if anyone knows how to start the seed? My Nycanthes arbor-tristis aka Indian Night Jasmine finally made its first seedpod. I kept missing the flowers this year since they only open at night and fall to the ground in the morning when the sun touches the blooms. I guess a pollinating critter found them though :) It was a cloudy day and I noticed there were still some flowers open so I took some photos and found the pod! I hadnt seen the seedpod before in person, so thought I would share what they look like. It is the flat green thing on the top right side of the photo. The flowers have a sweet honey jasmine fragrance similar to cestrum nocturnum (night blooming jasmine) but not as overpowering. ~Lenette |
