I don't know why I brought in the bamboo, ginger and bananna's they are huge. the bananna's are in 15 gallon pots. Last time I tried to over winter them bare root I lost all but 2. the pic is of my peach butterfly ginger bloom last year. This years bloom is sad because it went dry and hit with cold water one day. I swear they are so picky. I hope the bigest ginger does better in its 5 gallon pot, he was breaking the pot. I hope to get a couple of years out of the transplant. I am thinking I will plant them next spring so I can let them freeze down and come back from the roots, well at least the hardy ones will come back. I do have 3 black and 3 of the cream/tan/pink sweet potatoe vines and 3 lantanna's for cutting on. I realize I cant get enough cuttings from them all so I will suppliment my cuttings with ordered ones. I just hooked up my cart and left them on for extra light. I finally get to take a break. oh yea time to wrap xmas gifts. we are doing presents on saturday with the grand babbies. we try to get them to come over at thanksgiving to do it so we can not be so stretched out. I f they were here in tulsa it would not matter but a 3 hour trip is kinda tough to squeeze into one day. Oh well its on to seed inventory for next year. Dave |
