This is a scanned pic from 1978, (shown molting here). He had a nice setup, I built a thermostatically controlled hood which was adjustable, with two fans and a moonlight, I would set the fans to automatically turn on when the temp reached the upper 80's. [He], more than doubled the size as shown and eventually took up the whole 55 gal tank length I kept him in. He lasted about 5yrs and I never got another reptile after that. I realized taking them out of their natural habitat and selling them was not really the right thing to do, I decided I didn't want to encourage the market. His demise was attributable to natural causes and I promptly buried him in the front yard where I used to live in the city, funny how sentimental you can get with animals no matter what the species...
