Well spotted, Lin. Yes the Cuckoo-shrike was on the pole branch at the osprey site. duc, I don't think this bird would pose a threat to a chick. I think they are mainly insectivorous. Anyway, their presence never causes any concern for the adult birds.

Yesterday was pretty cloudy and dull. This Kookaburra was brought to my attention because it was being hounded by a Red Wattlebird. Didn't get a shot of that bit of action. I had bumped the ISO up to 1600 to get this shot and was quite pleased at the lack of noise.
