Interesting re rhododendrons. Suspect that may not be a helpful thing.
Know very little re rhododendrons myself as they have to be grown here in raised acidified beds.

Weather still exceptionally good here for November. Some of your great weather. Was a bit overcast yesterday, but back to lots of sunshine today.
The Mei Kyo (picture) hasn't had snow on it for several weeks. But still got the snow tires put on today.
